Alzheimer's Disease
Researchers are seeking
volunteers with Alzheimer’s disease to participate in a 12- 26 week
research study of an investigational medication. Participants must be
50 or older and have been diagnosed with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s
disease. Study participants will receive study related testing,
investigational medication or placebo, an inactive substance, and up to
$440.00 in compensation for time and travel. For more information,

Alzheimer's Disease
Meridien Research is
participating in a nationwide study evaluating the effects of a
once-a-day nutritional drink on individuals with mild-to-moderate
Alzheimer's Disease.
To be eligible, you must be:
- Clinically
diagnosed with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's Disease
- Taking an FDA
approved medication for Alzheimer's Disease (Aricept, Exelon, Razadyne,
and/or Namenda) for the past 4 months.
- 50 years of age
or older
- Not previoulsy
diagnosed with vascular dementia, Huntington's Disease, Parkinson's
Disease, or seizures
- Not living in a
nursing home
- Able to have a
caregiver or study partner with you during all study visits.

Birth
Control
Are you interested in a Birth
Control Research Study?
Meridien Research is currently
conducting a research study to evaluate an investigational transdermal
birth control patch system. We are seeking females who are:
18-45 years of age and generally healthy; desire contraception; willing
to come to 6 clinic visits over 1 year. Study participants
will receive study-related exams, lab work and the investigational
birth control patch at no cost. For more information, please

Diabetes
Do you have type 2 diabetes?
Are you currently taking Lantus®, Levemir®, Humulin® N or Novolin® N?
Has your doctor told you your blood sugar level is not adequately
controlled?
Medical researchers are conducting a research study of an
investigational, oral medication to see if it can help improve blood
sugar levels.
To pre-qualify for this study, you must:
• Be 18 years of age and
• Have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and
• Be currently taking either Lantus®, Levemir®, Humulin® N or Novolin®
N with or without metformin and/or Actos® and your
dose has been unchanged for the last several weeks.
Qualified participants will receive all study related medical
evaluations and study medication at no cost. Participants may also
receive reimbursement for time and travel.

Diabetes
Type 2 Diabetes Study
Type 2 diabetes patients wanted. Must be taking metformin and be
between the ages of 18 and 75. Meridien Research is currently enrolling
for a 6-9 month study where participants may receive study-related
laboratory testing, ECGs and physical exams, glucometers and testing
supplies. Participants may receive study medication and study-related
medical care. Compensation for time and travel may be available.

Diabetic
Foot Pain
Diabetic Foot Pain Study Currently Enrolling
Is diabetic foot pain slowing you down? If you suffer from aching,
burning, stabbing, or tingling sensations in your feet and legs from
diabetic peripheral neuropathy you may be eligible for a clinical
research study at Meridien Research to study the safety and
effectiveness of the approved medication Lyrica®. Medical insurance is

Fibromyalgia
Suffering from aches, pain and fatigue from
fibromyalgia?
If you’re suffering from aches, pain and fatigue from fibromyalgia even
though you’re taking the medication Cymbalta®, you may qualify for a
medical research study currently being conducted by Meridien Research.
This 13 week study will test the effects of the FDA approved medication
milnacipran (Savella®) in patients who are not getting relief from
their current Cymbalta® regime. Participants may receive study related
medication and study related medical care. Medical insurance is not
necessary. Compensation for time and travel may be available.

Gout
Do you have Gout?
Gout suffers often experience flares of gout despite treatment with
medication such as Allopurinol. Dr. Lefebvre is conducting a research
study to see if an investigational drug can prevent further attacks of
gout while on other treatment. Eligible participants may or may not be
currently treated for gout. Qualified participants may receive
investigational study medication, study related physical exams and up
to $350.00 in compensation for time and travel.

Hypoactive
Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD)
Sexually active female? Losing your desire for sexual
activity?
Are you a sexually active, post-menopausal woman who is losing your
desire for sexual activity? If so, Meridien Research may have a study
for you. If you are currently in a relationship with one man and
suffering from decreased sexual desire, you may be eligible to
participate in a 24-week clinical research study of an investigational
medication for the treatment of hypoactive sexual desire disorder,
HSDD.

Migraines
Migraine Study for Children Ages 6-17
Migraine pain slowing your child down? Meridien Research is currently
enrolling children ages 6-17 who suffer from mild, moderate, to severe
migraine headaches. The investigational us of Rizatriptan (MAXALT™), a
drug approved for use in adults, will be evaluated during a clinical
research study. Participants will receive study medication and study

Overactive
Bladder
Overactive bladder keeping you
up all night? If you are over the age of 18 and have been
suffering from overactive bladder for more than 3-months, give Meridien
Research a call. You may qualify to participate in a 16-week
clinical research study of an investigational medication for the
