1. Diabetes

Is controlling your blood sugar a challenge? Are you a type 2 diabetic, between 18-70 years old, taking only metformin for your diabetes?   If so, call Meridien Research at 941-756-8680 to learn more about a clinical research study of an investigational, small, implantable device that allows a slow controlled release of study medication.  Eligible participants will receive study medication, study related medical care and up to $1000 compensation for time and travel. 2. Diabetes

Do you have type 2 diabetes?
Are you currently taking Lantus®, Levemir®, Humulin® N or Novolin® N?
Has your doctor told you your blood sugar level is not adequately controlled?Medical researchers are studying an investigational, oral medication to see if it can help improve blood sugar levels.

To pre-qualify for this study, you must:
• Be 18 years of age, and
• Have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and
• Be currently taking either Lantus®, Levemir®, Humulin® N or Novolin® N with or without metformin and/or a sulfonylurea and your dose has been unchanged for the last several weeks.

Qualified participants will receive all study related medical evaluations and study medication at no cost. You may also receive reimbursement for time and travel.

3. Diabetes

Type 2 Diabetes ????????
• If you are 18 years of age or older
• With Type 2 Diabetes for at least 3 months
• And are treating your diabetes with 1-2 oral medications
Then you may qualify for a research study to evaluate a new investigational drug for treatment of diabetes
If you qualify you will receive at not cost:
• Study related medical care
• Study medication and
• Glucose meter and study supplies

4. Irritable Bowel Syndrome With Constipation

Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation is one of the most common stomach and intestinal disorders diagnosed today. Symptoms can include abdominal pain, discomfort, bloating and constipation. Meridien Research is conducting a 23-week research study, evaluating an investigational medication for IBS with constipation. If you are 18 years of age or older, you may qualify to participate.
